WASHINGTON — Senator Chuck Grassley today said that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is releasing $262,640 to the Scott County Housing Council.
The funds come from the Economic Development Initiative Special Project Grants which were included in the Consolidated Appropriations Bill for fiscal 2008.
"These federal funds will help make sure that Scott County residents have the housing that they need," Grassley said.
Economic Development Initiative grants provide funds to local governments to assist low and middle income residents by supporting housing, community, and economic development activities.
