$492,651 to Helping Services For Northeast Iowa from U.S. Department of Justice


            WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today said that the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs has awarded a $492,651 grant to Helping Services For Northeast Iowa in Decorah. 

 

          "These funds will help kids receive mentoring to help them make the right choices and stay out of the juvenile justice system," Grassley said.

 

            Helping Services For Northeast Iowa will use the money to help enhance their current mentoring programs targeting kids ages 5 – 17 years old who are at risk of entering or are already in the juvenile justice system in Allamakee, Fayette, Howard and Winneshiek counties.
