$500,000 to Iowa Schools from U.S. Department of Education


WASHINGTON – Chuck Grassley today said that the U.S. Department of Education has awarded $500,000 in congressionally directed spending to Briar Cliff University and the American Institute of Business.

 

According to the U.S. Department of Education, Briar Cliff University will receive $100,000 to purchase nursing laboratory technology and equipment.

 

According to the U.S. Department of Education, the American Institute of Business will receive $400,000 to continue to recruit and train captioners and court reporters and to provide scholarships.

 

“These funds will help these schools expand and improve their programs, which will result in greater access to nurses, captioners and court reporters across Iowa,” Grassley said.
