Grassley: More than $1 million to Iowa from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded two grants totaling $1,129,458 to Siouxland PACE in Sioux City and the University of Iowa.
The grant funds from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will be distributed as shown below.
- A $500,000 grant to Siouxland PACE from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to fund a rural program for all-inclusive care for the elderly titled, “Rural PACE Provider Grant Program.”
- A $629,458 grant to the Universityof Iowa from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases to fund a diabetes, endocrinology and metabolic research project titled, “Continuous near infrared glucose sensor.”
