WASHINGTON – Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), a senior member and former chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, today welcomed Ryan Page, the Director of Child Care for the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), to testify at a hearing on child care.

“I was glad to have Ryan Page share her expertise with the Senate Finance Committee this morning. Based on her years of dedicated service to Iowa families, Ryan offered valuable insights into the unique challenges families and rural parents face,” Grassley said.

Background:

Page has worked on child care policy for over 10 years. She currently serves as Iowa HHS’s Director of Child Care. 

Grassley is a longtime advocate of increased access to child care. He has introduced bipartisan legislation to expand access to child care for employees of small businesses, as well as improve affordability of child care programs by enhancing eligibility for the Child Care and Development Block Grant.
