WASHINGTON – Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) this week met with local leaders from the Mason City and Clear Lake Chambers of Commerce. The group discussed topics including critical access hospitals, physician shortages, senior health care and workforce development. They also thanked Grassley for his work to pass the 2024 Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorization Act and help with transportation projects, such as the RAISE grant received by the City of Clear Lake for the Fourth Avenue South Multimodal Corridor Planning Project funded through the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act

“I was glad to meet with members of the Mason City and Clear Lake Chambers of Commerce,” Grassley said. “Two-way dialogue is the essence of representative government. Speaking directly with local leaders about the challenges and opportunities they witness in their communities every day informs my work representing Iowans in Washington.”
