WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley said today that he has changed the location of some of his town meetings next week in order to make room for more Iowans to ask questions and voice their points of view.
The meetings planned in the counties of Clay, Emmet, Greene, Ida, Palo Alto, Plymouth and Pocahontas will be held at different venues than indicated in a previously mailed post card to county residents. The new meeting locations are listed in the schedule below.
"It's great that so many people are getting involved and want to participate in these meetings," Grassley said. "I want to hear what people have to say, and encourage every Iowan to participate in the democratic process by having dialogue with their elected representatives."
All together, Grassley will hold meetings in 16 counties between August 24 and August 28. The visits are part of Grassley's meetings every year in each of Iowa's 99 counties. The Senate is in recess for most of August.
The town meetings will be held in meetings in Cherokee, Estherville, George, Humboldt, Ida Grove, Jefferson, Le Mars, Pocahontas, Primghar, Rockwell City, Ruthven, Spencer, and Spirit Lake.
In addition, Grassley will be a guest at Silent Drive in Orange City, where he will tour and meet with employees. Grassley will also be hosted at Knoefpler Chevrolet for a roundtable discussion with auto dealers. He will be a guest speaker at the Sibley Kiwanis in Sibley.
