Judiciary Committee Advances Judicial Nominations for Third Circuit and Alabama District Courts, Along with Eastern Louisiana U.S. Attorney Nominee

WASHINGTON – The Senate Judiciary Committee today advanced the following nominations:

• Jennifer Lee Mascott, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Third Circuit, by a vote of 12-10;
• Edmund G. LaCour, Jr., to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama, by a vote of 12-10;
• Bill Lewis, to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Alabama, by a vote of 14-8;
• Harold D. Mooty III, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama, by a vote of 18-4; and
• David Courcelle, to be United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana, by a vote of 14-8.
