Grassley earlier this year
led a roundtable in Cedar Rapids with local, state and federal officials and retail experts to foster collaboration in the fight against retail theft. According to NRF’s 2023 National Retail Security Survey, retailers lost an estimated $112.1 billion due to retail theft in 2022, and more than two-thirds (67%) of retailers said they were seeing even more violence and aggression from organized retail crime perpetrators compared with a year ago.
