I Appreciate Hearing From You

I’ve gone to every county, every year I’ve represented Iowa in the Senate for dialogue with constituents, and this scheduled break of Congress has been an opportunity to continue that effort.

As I travel around Iowa, it doesn't matter what part of the state I'm in, the question remains the same, "What are we going to do about the economy and the legacy of debt we're leaving to our kids and grandkids?"

This week's visits have been no different.  I've had the opportunity to talk with members of the Eagle Grove Rotary, visit with farmers and ag business employees at the Farm Progress Show, tour factories and businesses in southern Iowa, and discuss government policy with high school students.

Whether it be in the mall, in the grocery store or at an official event, I appreciate people coming up to me and asking questions or sharing their thoughts on an issue.  It's this dialogue that makes representative government work.  This back and forth communication helps me represent Iowa in our nation's capital.
