Fallen Heroes Flag Act. Congress passed a law to pay tribute to America’s first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty. Iowans who would like to have a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol to honor a fallen hero from their immediate family (firefighter, law enforcement officer, EMS crew member) may make that request by contacting my office at (202) 224-3744. There is no cost to families who qualify for the Fallen Heroes Flag program. Learn more about the program here.
