RE:       $1 million to Iowa for emergency road repair

Senator Chuck Grassley today made the following comment after the U.S. Department of Transportation announced that it would be releasing $1 million in emergency relief funds to help provide quick repair on several damaged roads and bridges in Iowa. 

 

“This will help address some needed repairs on roads and bridges damaged by the floods that are essential for travel.  This money isn’t going to go very far, but it will help cover the gap until a full assessment of the transportation infrastructure is completed and we can rebuild Iowa.”
