WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the National Eye Institute has awarded a $112,912 grant to Vivakor in Coralville through the Small Business Innovation Research Awards – Phase I.
Vivakor will use the money to help pay for a vision research project titled, “Development of a digital photorefractor to detect amblyogenic risk factors.”
The Small Business Innovation Research Awards - Phase I help establish the technical merit and feasibility of proposed research and development efforts that may ultimately lead to a commercial product or service.
