WASHINGTON - Senator Chuck Grassley today said that Creodyne, LLC in Ames has received a $150,000 competitive grant from the National Science Foundation.
Creodyne, LLC will use the money to fund the project, “SBIR Phase I: Electricity from Biometric Grass.”
The grant program helps fund small businesses involved in technological advancements.
Each year, thousands of local Iowa organizations, colleges and universities, individuals and state agencies apply for competitive grants and loans from the federal government. The funding is then awarded based on each local organization or individual’s ability to meet criteria set by the federal entity.
