$156,873 to the Iowa Department of Elder Affairs


  

            WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today said that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, has awarded two competitive grants totaling $156,873 to the Iowa Department of Elder Affairs in Des Moines.

 

The grants will be distributed to the Iowa Department of Elder Affairs as shown below. 

 

·         $120,641 for a project titled, “LIS/MSP Outreach to Low Income Medicare Beneficiaries,” through the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act.

 

·         $36,232 for a project titled, “LIS/MSP Outreach to Low Income Medicare Beneficiaries,” through the Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007.
