WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the Administration on Aging has awarded a $200,000 grant to Iowa Legal Aid in Des Moines.
"These funds will help Iowa Legal Aid provide information and counseling services to Iowans looking for help with their retirement plans," Grassley said.
Iowa Legal Aid will use the money to help pay for a pension information counseling project titled, "Upper Midwest Pension Rights Protect." According to Iowa Legal Aid, the Upper Midwest Pension Rights Project provides information, counseling, and representation regarding pensions sponsored by employers, unions, and governments, including defined benefit plans and defined contribution plans such as 401(k) plans.
