$243,794 to Iowa Department of Justice for Sexual Assault Services Program


WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women has awarded a $243,794 formula grant to the Iowa Department of Justice in Des Moines through the Sexual Assault Services Program. 

 

"These funds will help provide assistance and support to sexual assault victims," Grassley said.

 

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the Sexual Assault Services Program assists states and territories in supporting rape crisis centers and other nonprofit, nongovernmental organizations that provide core services, direct intervention and related assistance to victims of sexual assault.
