$2,450 to Andover from USDA


WASHINGTON- Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Rural Development has awarded a $2,450 competitive grant to Andover through the Community Facility Grant Program.

 

"These funds will help Andover purchase important emergency equipment to provide greater safety for its residents," Grassley said.

 

Andover will use the money to help purchase an outdoor warning siren.  Clinton County was declared a Presidential Disaster area for both individual and community assistance.

 

The Community Facility Grant program provides grants to assist in the development of essential community facilities in rural areas and towns of up to 20,000 in population.
