$25,950 to Keokuk from U.S. Department of Justice


            WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs has released a $25,950 grant to Keokuk through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program. 

 

            Keokuk will use the money to help bring the telephone system up to current standards and help purchase audio and visual equipment and furniture for a training room.

 

          "These funds will help Keokuk law enforcement increase efficiency and reduce crime in the community," Grassley said.

 

The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program allows states and local governments to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime and improve the criminal justice system.
