$405,823 to Iowa from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services


            WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded competitive grants totaling $405,823 to Interiorsoft in Coralville and the University of Iowa in Iowa City.

 

The funds will be distributed as shown below.

 

·        Interiorsoft will receive $140,000 from the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering to help pay for a project titled, "Development of Methods and Software for Interior Tomography Applications."

·        The University of Iowa will receive $265,823 from the National Cancer Institute to help pay for a cancer cause and prevention research project titled, "Chromatin Remodeling and SOD2 Expression in Cancer."
