WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today said that the U.S. Department of Education has released $48,000 to the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. The funding comes through the fiscal 2009 appropriations process.
"These funds will help the University of Northern Iowa recruit future school administrators," Grassley said.
According to the U.S. Department of Education, the University of Northern Iowa will use the money to help identify and recruit prospective minority school administrators to the principalship, superintendency, and doctorate programs including tuition support, mentoring, and professional development.
