$50,000 to Region Six Planning Commission for Economic Development

WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley announced today that the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration awarded a grant of $50,000 to Region Six Planning Commission.

Region Six Planning Commission, which includes Hardin, Marshall, Poweshiek and Tama counties, will use the funds to develop and implement a comprehensive economic development strategy that brings together the public and private sectors and strengthens the regional economy.

“These funds should help generate economic growth and new jobs in Hardin, Marshall, Poweshiek and Tama counties,” Grassley said.
