WASHINGTON - Senator Chuck Grassley announced today that the U.S. Department of Transportation awarded a grant of $926,700 to the Midwest Transportation Consortium housed at Iowa State University through the University Transportation Centers program.
"Iowa State University has a history of performing great research," Grassley said. "These funds should help them continue in that tradition."
The U.S. Department of Transportation awarded grants to 10 regional transportation research centers across the country. The University Transportation Centers program advances the nation's transportation system through the transfer of education, research and technology.
