"I'm profoundly disappointed with the action that stopped additional airline competition in Iowa. It's important to have additional slots at the slot-controlled airports so that all Iowans can enjoy better access to their destinations. It's also important to encourage competition between airlines so that Iowans can benefit from lower airfares. All Iowans would benefit from more flights to more destinations at lower prices. Those who hope to run for president should expect to hear a lot about airline competition during their travels across our state."
