Children's Rights Council Rating
The Children's Rights Council announced today that it has ranked Iowa as the number one state to raise a child. The rating is based upon each state's ranking in 11 different categories, ranging from infant mortality rate to divorce and graduation rates. In response to the announcement, Sen. Chuck Grassley issued the following statement.
"It comes as no surprise to me that Iowa is the number one place to raise a child in the nation. The ranking is a testament to the strength of our families, neighborhoods and schools. And as parents and grandparents we must continue to teach our children Iowa values and the personal discipline needed to succeed in life and sustain healthy communities."
