Economic Development Administration Excellence in Economic Development Awards 2009

WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley said today that the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration is accepting entries for the competition for the EDA Excellence in Economic Development Awards 2009.

The competition recognizes innovative economic development accomplishments across the United States. Nonprofit organizations, universities and colleges, and local, state and regional governments are eligible to enter.  The entries may discuss specific projects of national importance or cumulative activities of the nominee.  Entries must be received by April 16, 2009.

“I hope Iowans use this opportunity to share their knowledge with the rest of the nation, and take away useful ideas from other winners which can be implemented in our own communities,” Grassley said.
