WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Violence Against Women has awarded a $190,000 grant to Seeds of Hope in Grundy Center through the Transitional Housing Grant Program.
Seeds of Hope will use the funds to help provide victims of domestic violence, dating violence, stalking or sexual assault safe transitional housing and support services to respond to physical and emotional needs as the victims work towards permanent housing and self-sufficiency.
“These funds will help provide Seeds Of Hope the resources needed to effectively respond and help victims of domestic, dating and sexual assault,” Grassley said.
The Transitional Housing Grant Program provides funds to state and local governments, Indian tribes, and other organizations, including faith-based and other community organizations that have a documented history of effective work concerning domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking.
