Grassley: $286,899 to the Eastern Iowa Community College District from U.S. Department of Education

WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley announced today that the U.S. Department of Education has awarded a $286,899 grant to the Eastern Iowa Community College District.

 

“These funds will help the Eastern Iowa Community College District provide the public with opportunities to learn about sustainable energy technology,” Grassley said.

 

The Eastern Iowa Community College District will use the funds for the design, development and production of interactive displays/kiosks that will be open to the public in the exhibit area of the Sustainable Energy Center which is currently under construction. The facility will be a model learning laboratory for energy efficiency and sustainable energy technologies by providing an interactive educational display/exhibit area, instructional classrooms and labs and an office/curricula development area.
