Grassley: $40,830 to Council Bluffs from U.S. Department of Justice


  

            WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs has released a $40,830 grant to Council Bluffs through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program. 

 

          “These funds will help give law enforcement officers necessary equipment and funding to better serve and protect the residents in Council Bluffs,” Grassley said.

 

The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program allows states and local governments to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime and improve the criminal justice system.

 

            The funds will be used to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency through applied technology for the Council Bluffs Police Department.
