Grassley: $62,662 to Iowa from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services


  

 

            WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded two grants totaling $62,662 to Iowa Protection and Advocacy Services in West Des Moines and the University of Iowa in Iowa City.

 

            “These funds will help provide Iowans with information on brain injuries and ensure that Iowa has the number of nurses needed to continue to providing good health care in this particular specialty,” Grassley said.

 

            The grant funds from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will be distributed as shown below.

 

  • - A $50,000 grant to Iowa Protection and Advocacy Services for a project titled, “Traumatic Brain Injury Protection and Advocacy.”
  • - A $12,662 grant to the Universityof Iowa for a project titled, “Nurse Anesthetist Traineeships.”
