Grassley: $65,000 to KALA Radio at St. Ambrose University in Davenport
WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley announced today that the Corporation for Public Broadcasting has awarded a $65,000 grant to St. Ambrose University’s KALA-FM in Davenport through the Community Service Grant program. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is a private, non-profit corporation, created by Congress, to promote public telecommunications services.
“These funds will help KALA provide quality public broadcasting to its listeners in the Quad Cities,” Grassley said.
The Community Service Grant program provides funds for operational expenses, the production or acquisition of local and national programming and local services such as outreach initiatives and educational workshops.
