Grassley: $6,505 to Iowa from USDA


WASHINGTON- Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Rural Development has awarded a grant of $6,505 to the Appanoose, Davis, Lucas and Monroe Counties Emergency Management Agency in Moravia through the Community Facility Grant program.
 
“These funds will help purchase equipment to continue to provide the best possible safety for the residents of these communities,” Grassley said.
 
ADLM Emergency Management Agency will use the funds to help purchase an emergency generator.
 
The Community Facility Grant program provides grants to assist in the development of essential community facilities in rural areas and towns of up to 20,000 in population.
