WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley announced today that the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration has awarded a grant of $814,538 to Red Oak through the Airport Improvement Program.
“These funds should help provide better safety and service to people using the airport,” Grassley said.
Red Oak will use the funds to construct a taxiway at Red Oak Municipal Airport.
The Airport Improvement Program provides grants to public agencies for the planning and development of public-use airports that are included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems. Eligible projects include improvements related to enhancing airport safety, capacity, security, and environmental concerns.
