Grassley: $9.3 Million in Energy Assistance to Iowa

WASHINGTON – Sen. Chuck Grassley today announced that U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has released $9,337,881 million to Iowa through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). These funds are part of the $450 million released nationally that will help provide and winter heating assistance for low-income households.

“This is welcome news for Iowans who are trying to stay warm as the price of heating oil and natural gas go up as the temperature goes down,” Grassley said. “These funds will provide vital assistance to many as they ride out the long Iowa winter.”
