WASHINGTON – Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) will join Vice President Mike Pence tomorrow, Friday, May 7 on Air Force Two from Washington, D.C., to Des Moines, Iowa. The officials will participate in a discussion with faith leaders from around the state and then visit Hy-Vee headquarters for a roundtable discussion with agriculture and food supply leaders.
“I’m glad to welcome Vice President Pence to Iowa. There’s much work to be done and the pandemic is disrupting all of our communities. I look forward to discussing ongoing issues affecting producers and our food supply chain in Iowa and throughout the country. It’s important to hear directly from those who help feed the nation and the world,” Grassley said.

VICE PRESIDENT MIKE PENCE TO VISIT

On Friday, May 8th, Vice President Pence will travel to Des Moines, Iowa. There, the Vice President will participate in a discussion with faith leaders about how they are using Federal and State guidelines to open their houses of worship in a safe and responsible manner. That afternoon, the Vice President will visit Hy-Vee headquarters for a roundtable discussion with agriculture and food supply leaders to discuss steps being taken to ensure the food supply remains secure. Later that evening, the Vice President will return to Washington, D.C.
