Community Opportunities, Inc., in Carroll will receive a continuation grant of $737,479 for full year, part day and handicapped programs.
Mid-Sioux Opportunity, Inc., in Remsen will receive a $373,863 supplemental grant for year-round, part day and handicapped programs.
Woodbury County Community Action Agency located in Sioux City, will receive a supplemental grant of $545,298 for a full year, part day program.
"This funding will provide an educational boost to the children and families in these communities," Grassley said. "Head Start programs provide young children with the resources they need to make sure they start school off on the right foot."
Head Start and Early Head Start are comprehensive child development programs that serve children up to age 5, pregnant women, and their families. The programs focus on increasing the school readiness of children and young children in low-income families.
