The meetings, which will take place during Congress? summer recess, will wrap-up Grassley?s annual tour of all 99 Iowa counties. This year marks the 20th year Grassley has visited every county in his effort to meet with people from across the state.
"I want to take advantage of this recess period to hear what is on the minds of Iowans and share with them the activities of Congress," said Grassley. "Visiting communities across the state allows me to better keep in touch with Iowans? views and get a first-hand look at the variety of issues that are affecting people in different areas."
While touring communities in southwest, northwest and south central Iowa, Grassley will give residents a legislative update and talk about issues such as saving Social Security, improving education, lowering taxes and addressing high energy costs.
