Grassley Continues Annual Tradition of Meeting with Siouxland Chamber of Commerce
May 01, 2020
BUTLER COUNTY, IOWA – Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) participated in a Q&A with more than 50 members of the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce today. While the group had to postpone their 66th annual visit to Washington, D.C., they were still able to speak with Grassley in the same format over the phone. Grassley also joined Mark Hahn and Charlie Stone on KSCJ Radio in Sioux City for Stone’s annual Washington Week segment to discuss current issues facing Siouxland.
“I always enjoy the Siouxland Chamber’s annual visit. Just because we couldn’t meet in person this spring doesn’t mean that we couldn’t communicate in other ways. During this pandemic, I’ve worked to keep business as usual by continuing to speak with students, families and Iowans across all businesses and industries. I appreciate the opportunity to hear concerns directly from Iowans and answer their questions,” Grassley said.
The group spoke with Grassley about a variety of issues including the federal response to COVID-19, the paycheck protection program, the Michael Flynn case and other current events.
