Grassley: Funding for Iowa projects included in spending bill

WASHINGTON — Sen. Chuck Grassley said that several Iowa projects were included in the Energy and Water spending bill that passed out of the Senate Appropriations Committee today.

"Funding for these projects will provide an investment in our communities and our environment, and will be important to our country's quest to find new sources of energy," Grassley said.

The bill will now move for consideration by the Senate.  Grassley said he will continue to work with Senate appropriators throughout the process to see that funding for the project is included in the final version of the bill.  The appropriations process begins each spring and is typically completed at the end of each congressional session.
