WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley will hold seven town meetings, visit an Iowa high school, and tour a manufacturing plant during the Senate break this week for President’s Day.
Grassley will be in Allison, Jewell, Iowa Falls, Grundy Center, Montezuma, Oskaloosa, Sigourney, Kalona and Marengo on Wednesday and Thursday.
“I look forward to these meetings to hear directly from Iowans and to have the dialogue that’s so important to the process of representative government. This process is a two-way street. I go to every county to listen to comments and respond to questions, and people come out and participate in the discussion,” Grassley said.
Last month, Grassley traveled to 36 counties to meet with Iowans. Grassley has held at least one meeting in each of Iowa’s 99 counties every year since he was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1980. In addition to face-to-face meetings in Iowa and with Iowans in Washington, Grassley responds to all letters, emails and phone calls from Iowans. He also communicates via Facebook, Twitter and his website at www.grassley.senate.gov.
