WASHINGTON – During an upcoming Senate break, Senator Chuck Grassley will hold meetings with Iowans in 11 counties.
Grassley will be in Webster City, Fort Dodge, and Farnhamville for town meetings to discuss the 2012 farm bill. He will hold town meetings in Sac City, Emmetsburg, and Pocahontas to answer questions and hear concerns on any subject. He will speak with a local transportation club in Waterloo, visit a non-profit agency serving children in Storm Lake, have Q&A with high school students in Spencer and Estherville, and speak with a service club in Terril.
“I look forward to these meetings to hear directly from Iowans and to have the dialogue that’s so important to the process of representative government. This process is a two-way street. I go to every county every year to listen to comments and respond to questions, and Iowans come out and participate in the discussion,” Grassley said. “I encourage Iowans to participate in these meetings.”
Grassley has held at least one meeting with Iowans in every one of the state’s 99 counties since 1980, when he was first elected to serve in the U.S. Senate.
