Grassley Invites Iowans to Call-In, E-Mail Questions and Comments

Chuck Grassley announced today that his interactive public affairs program will air Thursday, July 20, from 6:30 - 7 p.m. (Central time)."Ask Your Senator" will be broadcast live from Washington, DC, and can be seen on local cable TV stations or through Grassley's website. »Iowans can ask questions or express concerns during the show by calling toll-free 800/736-8255.» Questions also can be e-mailed in advance to

"The show is designed to give viewers a good sense of what's going on in Washington and how legislation we're considering might impact the people of Iowa."Grassley is continuing his efforts on a variety of initiatives to help Iowa families. He is currently working for passage of legislation that would bring tax relief for married couples. Last week, he introduced legislation that would help older Americans work part-time while still receiving retirement benefits. As chairman of the Senate Special Committee on Aging, Grassley is holding hearings to improve life for older Americans. His recent meetings have focused on the establishment of living trusts and appropriate pain management and end-of-life care.
