Today, Grassley said a few seats remain. He encouraged those interested in attending to call his Des Moines office today or, if necessary, walk up on Monday morning and register at the door.
The conference ? "Iowa Women 2000: Linking and Learning" ? offers a motivational, entertaining and refreshing opportunity to hear five outstanding speakers, including Elizabeth Dole of the American Red Cross and Dr. Judi Kosterman of Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America.
Grassley said that with the help of Iowa businesses, this day-long conference, plus breakfast and lunch, are available for an affordable $20. "It's great to see so many Iowa women pre-registered. And I encourage anyone still considering the event to sign up today by calling my office in Des Moines at 284-4890," Grassley said.
Monday's conference will be the fifth such forum sponsored by the Grassleys. He said the goal is to provide Iowa women an opportunity to draw and learn from one another's experiences. "Attendance and feedback at the previous conferences told me that this is a good way to network with other professionals, homemakers, entrepreneurs, students, and community leaders. And the dynamic speakers make the conference a good opportunity to rejuvenate," Grassley said.
