WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley will continue a series of constituent meetings during a week-long congressional recess in May that will take him to 17 Iowa counties. The meetings will be held May 27-30.
Grassley has held a meeting in every Iowa county every year that he’s served in the United States Senate.
“Meeting with Iowans about issues and taking their views to Washington is an important part of my job,” Grassley said. “Representative government is a two-way street. I need to hear Iowan’s views so I can fully represent their interests in the Senate. The town hall meeting dialogues are very important.”
Grassley’s meetings in Iowa will take him to the counties of Adams, Audubon, Cass, Davis, Decatur, Des Moines, Fremont, Guthrie, Lee, Mills, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, Ringgold, Taylor, Union and Van Buren.
Grassley will hold town hall meetings in Atlantic, Avoca, Bedford, Bloomfield, Coon Rapids, Corning, Creston, Exira, Glenwood, Keosauqua, Lamoni, Mt. Ayr, and Red Oak. He will tour business operations and meet with employees at Roquette America in Keokuk, at EZ Way and Lisle Corporation in Clarinda, and at the Whiterock Conservancy in Coon Rapids. He will meet with students at Oak Street Middle School in Burlington. He will also speak to the Hamburg Kiwanis.
Here is detailed information about Grassley’s congressional recess schedule in Iowa. Grassley will be available to the press for 15 minutes after each event unless otherwise noted.
