WASHINGTON – Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) today met with Mayor John Lundell and City Administrator Kelly Hayworth during their visit to Washington, D.C., for the League of Cities conference. Representatives of the national League of Cities also joined the meeting.
“I was glad to meet with Coralville officials to discuss federal priorities, including transportation and opportunity zones. I’m always happy to hear of project updates that have taken advantage of federal funding. I look forward to continuing to partner with Coralville on projects and policies that will help the community continue to thrive,” Grassley said.
Grassley and Coralville officials discussed the Interstate 80 Exit 242/First Avenue Interchange and the surface transportation reauthorization bill. They also discussed the status of multiple projects that have received federal funding and about possible developments in the two Qualified Opportunity Zones in Coralville.
