Grassley: More Than $2 Million in Loans and Grants to Iowa Lakes Regional Water from USDA


  

WASHINGTON- Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Rural Development has awarded a $1,161,000 loan and a $910,000 grant to Iowa Lakes Regional Water in Spencer through the Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant program.

 

Iowa Lakes Regional Water will use the funds to help construct a reliable water system for the Emmet County area. The $1,161,000 loan will be for 40 years at 3.625 percent interest.

Iowa . This funding will help better serve the residents of Emmet County,” Grassley said.


 

The Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant program provides funding to develop water and waste disposal, including solid waste disposal and storm drainage, systems in rural areas and towns with a population not in excess of 10,000.
