WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded four grants totaling $2,646,258 to Iowa.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded funds, as described below.
· Integrated DNA Technologies in Coralville will receive $170,000 from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences to help pay for a project titled “Gene Silencing with U1 Adaptor Oligonucleotides.”
· Le Mars Area Dialysis Services will receive $189,677 to help pay for “Health Care and Other Facilities.”
· PK Biosciences Corporation in Ames will receive $153,440 from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke to help pay for a project titled “Development of Novel Neuroprotective Agents for Parkinson’s disease.”
· The University of Iowa in Iowa City will receive $2,133,141 to help pay for “Health Care and Other Facilities.”
