WASHINGTON– Senator Chuck Grassley announced today that the Federal Highway Administration has awarded grants to two Iowacounties totaling $1,856,496.
“These funds will provide greater safety on Iowa’s highways,” Grassley said.
The Federal Highway Administration has awarded funds to facilitate improvement projects, as described below.
·$905,520 to Polk County to reconstruct combined sewer and storm water system elements impacted by the reconstruction of I-235.
·$950,796 to WoodburyCountyto improve traffic operations and provide a safe facility that serves the local, regional and national traffic demands of the I-29 Sioux City corridor by the reconstruction and relocation of utilities as required with the reconstruction of I-29.
