WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today said that he has given President Bush the names of three candidates to fill the opening for U.S. Attorney in the Northern District of Iowa.
The candidates Grassley nominated are Matt Dummermuth of Washington, DC (originally of Elgin), Chadwicke Groover of Cedar Rapids and Lisa Krigsten of Washington, DC (originally of Sioux City).
“All of these candidates bring unique experiences and exceptional qualifications to serve as one of Iowa’s lead prosecutors. They would each serve Iowa well,” Grassley said.
U.S. Attorneys prosecute federal criminal and civil rights cases. The Northern District of Iowa is based in Cedar Rapids.
According to Grassley, President Bush will forward one name to the Senate Judiciary Committee for confirmation.
