Grassley Plans Hearing on Trade Issues


? Sen. Chuck Grassley announced today that he will hold a hearing next week on trade policy challenges in the year ahead.

The October 5 hearing will begin at 11 a.m. in Dirksen 215. Grassley is conducting the hearing as chairman of the International Trade Subcommittee.

Witnesses will address renewal of fast-track trading authority, the Free Trade Area of the Americas negotiations, the 2001 ministerial conference of the WTO, the agriculture trade negotiations in Geneva, and labor and environmental issues.
